ZEN GARDEN — Sand & Rake

Height map. The sand is a Float32Array grid where each value is the elevation at that point — 0 is a deep furrow, 0.5 is flat, 1 is a raised mound.

Emboss lighting. Each frame the height map is converted to pixels using a normal-map computation — the gradient at each cell determines how much light it receives from the configured direction, producing shadows and highlights.

Rake physics. Dragging stamps a Gaussian furrow profile at each tine position, perpendicular to the drag direction, with a subtle raised ridge on either side.

Tools. Fine Rake (7 tines), Wide Rake (5 tines), Stylus (single groove), Leveler (smooths sand), Mound (raises sand).

Effects. Wind slowly drifts the surface; Rain drops individual rippled craters. Patterns (Rings, Lines, Grid, Spiral) pre-stamp the whole surface.
